Save money with holiday apartments in London

London, the capital city of the United Kingdom has an amazing atmosphere with a vibrant feel to it. With diverse culture, glorious night life, sensational sporting events, spectacular shopping areas, magnificent landmarks, fabulous galleries and museums, startling events and shows, a world class transportation system, and much more. London is one of world’s most popular cities for good reason – London has a lot of tourist attractions and also offers an excellent array shopping options for locals and tourists alike.

There is always something going on in London so anytime of the year is a good enough time to visit. While the best festivals are on during the summer if you are the brave sort who doesn’t mind a bit of cold weather, you will not have the crowds to contend with if you visit during the winter months. In any case, irrespective of the time you want to visit, you will find London to be a fascinating city to visit. Being such a popular city also means that hotel prices are higher than your average city. You need not blow your budget on accommodation though as there is an alternative to staying at hotels with holiday apartments.

Ideally suited for stays longer than a few days, holiday apartments in London are certainly far more cost effective than similarly appointed hotel rooms. Any vacation can be rather expensive enough on its own, so saving as much money as you can without sacrificing comfort is something that would become a priority while you enjoy your vacation. And for that, staying in a holiday apartment will go a long towards saving you money while visiting London.

The biggest expensive that will be saved is in food. Dining out in London is expensive but you will surprised how affordable groceries items are, especially if you go shopping at one of the many supermakets like Tesco or Sainsbury’s. Just being able to prepare your own breakfast is going to be a big money saver, let alone lunches and dinner. In most cases holiday apartments offer more space than your typical hotel room as well. While most hotels ordinarily give servant and valet aids as a feature of the bundle, there are a large number of holiday apartments in London that give the same benefits/services as well.

Getting the holiday started

When you’re off on the holiday of a lifetime, the stopover is as important as the main cruise.
There’s nothing quite like a night on the town to get the party going either. Add a glass of bubbly or a cocktail or two and you’re away!

Bubbles in Miami
Miami has some great bars. Start at STK’s Magnum… to get a complimentary upgrade to a Magnum order a 750ml bottle of Veuve Cliquot.

If you’re an all-girl party, it’s worth visiting Tudor House and Highbar for happy hour between 5.30 – 7.30 pm on a weekday. You’ll be spoilt with unlimited free glasses of Champagne. Living the high life already!

Cocktails in Miami
Miami seems to tempt mixologists to constantly think up new drinks. Or just to reinvent previous well known ones.
SLS Hotel South Beach has the swankiest of cocktail bars called Bar Centro. Try their signature cocktail, a Salt Air Margarita or perhaps their reinvented Gin & Tonic or their liquid nitrogen Caipirinha. If you’re getting peckish, SLS does food to die for too.

Next stop Miami Avenue in Wynwood at Bloom. Get ready to sample something new as the barman here loves trying out new drinks.

The Cynar Cocktail at the Living Room on West South Beach will also surprise you. It’s a fusion of a smoky artichoke Italian liqueur with mescal, sweet vermouth and bitters.

Fancy a mix of vodka, elderflower, lime and cranberry? Then order a White Cosmo at db Bistro Moderne where the surprise will be the frozen orchid floating in this sea of alcohol.

Look cool at Fontainebleu and try a Dewar’s Smash a reinvented Mojito made from whisky with sugar, mint and lemon and topped up with soda.

Still standing? Try an Atlantico 75 at the St Regis. Bear in mind it contains rum, Grand Marnier, fruit puree, egg white and sparkling wine.

Places to be seen in Miami
Rok Bar on South Beach for live music and DJs taking you right through till 5am – don’t miss your ship though.

Cocktails in Orlando
If Orlando is your stop over then no worries as the bars and restaurants here also offer what they call Artisanal Cocktails i.e. ‘hand crafted using traditional and speciality ingredients’.

What about a Huckleberry Big Fin Martini at Big Fin Seafood Kitchen on Sandlake Road; a mix of vodka, blueberry puree and lemonade.

Or a Cabo Wabo Rita, a shaken cocktail served with salt made from fresh lime juice, Cabo Wabo Reprosado and cointreau. Find this at the Hard Rock Hotel on Universal Boulevard.

At Mama Della’s Ristorante you can enjoy a Baca Bellini, their signature cocktail: Prosecco, blueberry preserves, strawberry puree and rose syrup.

Another fruity example is a Berries & Bubble available at Ocean Prime on Sandlake Road. It’s a mix of Citrus vodka, blackberries, house sour and sparkling wine, Domaine ChandOn Brut.
There’s also a Margarita Bar at Downtown Disney and AMC MacGuffins for a dine-in movie with cocktails experience.

Places to be seen in Orlando
It’s got to be the Ice Bar in Orlando. It’s the biggest permanent Ice Bar in the world carved out of 50 tonnes of ice. Drink a Penguin Pizz clad in your thermal coat, gloves and scarf (supplied) and then warm up in the Fire Lounge and dance the night away to the resident DJs.

There’s no doubt that a night on the town will get your cruise and stay holidays off to a flying start. With a great choice of Florida villas we bet you can’t wait to get started.

In an effort to extend the summer, we bring you travel trends from the Aloha State: Hawaii vacation rentals offer great value for groups of all sizes, but we discovered that Hawaii truly sparkles as a top spot for romantic rendezvous. 45% of all travelers planning Hawaii vacations travel in groups of two, and the short romantic getaway is a surprisingly popular option for islands that are a few thousand miles from everything.

Hawaii’s romantic appeal doesn’t exactly come as a surprise. Between honeymoons, destination weddings, and anniversary trips, couples have countless excuses to escape to the islands. It is interesting that the love birds of paradise flock to the islands around Valentines Day: mid-February is peak travel season, and the nightly rates spike right during that period.

The good news: the spots where you will find love are also spots where you can find deals – none of these romantic hideaways are among the most expensive locales in the state. A deeper look at the data reveals the top five couples destinations:

Honolulu, Oahu
Haleiwa, Oahu
Kailua-Kona, Big Island
Lahaina, Maui
Kihei, Maui

The other good news: Now is the time to travel. Forget Valentine’s Day, with its crowds and the pressure to be romantic. If you’re thinking of traveling to the islands, consider a fall escape. It’s still summer in Hawaii, and the best rates can be had before the holidays. Nothing heats things up like a quick jaunt to Paradise right when the weather is getting colder back home.
